Paul Murphy is one of the co-founders of Blackforce Corporation. A former Special Air Service Regiment commando, Murphy has nearly 12 years of combat experience due to his time in the SAS-R. Sine his retirement from the Australian Defence Force in February 2001, Murphy saw the rise of PMCs and figured to start his own PMC to add a bit of competition to the market. It was in early April that he met Nicole Williams, which with her help and expertise, lead to the founding of Blackforce Corporation.
Since the forming, Murphy's role in Blackforce is a mission coordinator and also as a combat instructor for new recruits joining Blackforce. While he does wear a business suit should the situation demand it, he prefers to wear similar attire to that of the operatives, due to his ideas of seeing himself as a regular member, not as a business worker.
